Courage to Resist
This group of concerned community members, veterans,
and military families support military objectors to
illegal war and occupation and the policies of empire.
The People Power strategy weakens the pillars that
maintain war and occupation in Iraq, Afghanistan and
elsewhere by supporting GI resistance,
counter-recruitment and draft resistance, which cuts
off the supply of troops. For more information on
programs and upcoming events, please visit:

Iraqi Children's Tooth Project
This project will document the levels of depleted
uranium (DU) contamination in Iraqi children who live
in or near areas contaminated with uranium oxide dust
particles derived from the use of DU weapons,
primarily by the United States military in 1991 and
since 2003. This is a critical research project for
countering Bush Administration and Pentagon claims
that exposure to depleted uranium poses no threat to
soldiers or civilians. For more information on how to
support this project, please visit:

Veterans for Peace Chapter 72
This local chapter of Veterans for Peace was founded
by Korean War veterans who wanted to challenge the
lies that perpetuated the violence that wasted human
lives in the 1950s. They were later joined by Vietnam
veterans. Chapter 72 is currently seeking veterans of
all ages, service affiliation, and time in service to
join and participate in events and informational
campaigns designed to show that those who have seen
war can help end war. Families and friends of veterans
may join as associate members. For more information on
programs and upcoming events, please visit:
